Thai Massage

Based on the northern style of traditional Thai Massage (Nuad Boran), Thai Massage is a sacred healing treatment that integrates Yoga, Ayurveda (the Indian healing method that means “science of life”), and Buddhism. The first roots of this ancient system date back to over 2,500 years ago at the time of Buddha.

Some call it “the lazy man’s yoga,” as you would get stretched and opened energetically without any effort on your part. The idea is to open up the sen/energy lines throughout the body, which is based on the belief that illnesses occur when blockages are present. It is suitable for people who enjoy deeper pressure in massage, but can also be more relaxing with pressure adjusted accordingly.

Constance has studied in various schools in Thailand which included Old Medicine Hospital, Loi Kroh Traditional Thai Massage & Yoga, TMC Thai Massage School of Thailand,  Blue Garden Yoga and Thai Massage Training, and Sinchai Massage School & Therapy. She is able to draw from different styles and knowledge with attentiveness, a tranquil presence and her gift in healing, to provide an excellent customized Thai Massage session.

What Would I expect during a session?

Traditional Thai massage uses no oils or lotions and is performed on a floor mat. You body would be rhythmically compressed, pulled, stretched and rocked by the usage of my fingers, hands, forearms, elbows, knees and/or feet. You would be positioned in a variety of yoga- like positions throughout the massage.

You would be fully clothed during the treatment. Please bring loose or stretchy clothing, otherwise thai fisherman pants can be provided for you to change into.
